Guillaume Azoulay, called "Master of the Line" has achieved international recognition as a successful and gifted artist. His unique self-taught style conveys strong illusions of fluid motion. Often his subjects appear to be caught in a vital moment of life. Guillaume has never used models, preferring to rely on his imagination. "The subject is not the major part of the work," Azoulay once explained. "It's the life I try to express through the subject." Born in Morocco, Azoulay started sketching and selling his drawings in the street and at fairs at the age of thirteen. At that time, his curiosity of the world led him to hitchhike across Europe and the Middle East earning his way by painting and performing as an actor. Since his arrival in the United States in 1976, his career has flourished. Guillaume currently resides in Nevada.
Guillaume is a friend of mine and was the featured artist on numerous occasions. Now semi-retired, I am putting the remaining pieces I own up for sale.
